Op de 2e zaterdag van maart in het jaar 1985 opende Platenhuis ‘t Oor voor het eerst haar deur aan de Leeuwenstraat!
Op naar de 40!

INSTORE: THE MOCKS

Op vrijdag 29 maart komen The Mocks ons verblijden met een optreden!
Wij van Platenhuis ’t Oor zijn intussen behoorlijk fan geworden van de jongens en we zijn dan ook
erg blij dat ze hun nieuwe plaat komen laten horen.
The Mocks speelden al 2 keer eerder in onze winkel en ook waren ze te zien tijdens de popronde in 2023.
Na 4x 7” is het nu dan echt tijd voor hun debuutalbum: ‘Do You Want Me Too?’
Verwacht aanstekelijke liedjes gebaseerd op de beat en garagerock uit de jaren 60.

TIP VAN BOB

KIM GORDON – The Collective (lp/cd) 27,95/16,95

Kim Gordon, de ex-Sonic Youth zangeres en bassiste, zet de koers van haar vorige album ‘No Home Record’ voort, in stijgende lijn mag ik wel zeggen.
The Collective herbergt 11 tracks vol experiment. Het is een hard en stevig album geworden.
 Het stuitert, het is hoekig, het schuurt, het beukt, het dwingt, is hier en daar ontregelend, waarover Gordon haar teksten declameert.  Kortom, een album dat door zijn diversiteit nergens verveelt.
Dit is Kim op haar best en geschikt voor een ieder die uitgekeken is op het geijkte liedjespatroon.
