BASS COMMUNION – The Itself of Itself (cd) 18,95

Een nieuwe van Bass Communion, daar veerde ik toch even goed van op.
Het was tenslotte 2011 toen het laatste volwaardige album uitkwam.
Bass Communion is de experimentele kant van Steven Wilson, voornamelijk bekend van Porcupine Tree. The Itself Of Itself is gelijk ook het meest eigenzinnige Bass Communion album ooit. Diepe drones, dwarse soundscapes en soms schurende elektronica. Geen makkelijke plaat, maar eentje waar je even goed voor moet gaan zitten/liggen en ondergaan, niet als achtergrondje voor bij de afwas.
Ook de productie is perfect, laat dat maar aan Wilson over!
