Soms weet je al halverwege het jaar wat weleens het album van het jaar kan worden. Mother Moon van 400 Lonely Things is er een goed voorbeeld van.Het album behelst 9 tracks, en allen zijn behoorlijk verschillend van elkaar. Dat maakt Mother Moon ook zo spannend.Waar ambient soms saai of langdradig kan zijn, zijn de klanken op dit album dat allerminst. Ik denk dat de bezielende productie van ambient pionier William Basinski hier een behoorlijke bijdrage aan levert.Laat je vooral verrassen door Mother Moon, ik ben de 10 draaibeurten allang gepasseerd. Op naar in ieder geval de top 3 van 2023!
