TIP VAN ROOS

Dit trio uit Londen ontleent zijn naam aan een nummer van Pulp, wat meteen een duidelijke verwijzing is naar hun muzikale invloeden. Maar dit is zeker niet zomaar een 90s britpop bandje!
Er zijn veel invloeden te herkennen; indierock, slowcore, shoegaze, grunge, maar Bar Italia past in geen van deze hokjes. Ze hebben een heel eigen, vooral melancholisch, geluid.
De bandleden nemen alle drie, afwisselend of tegelijkertijd, de vocals voor hun rekening en dat zorgt voor frisse diversiteit. Er wordt veel geëxperimenteerd, maar de songs blijven toegankelijk.
Hele fijn plaat voor dit lome weer!
