JORN’S EERSTE CONCERT:

Het derde verhaal in onze reeks ‘je allereerste concert’ is van onze Jorn Hulsman. We gaan terug naar 2010. De 13 jarige Jorn en papa Hulsman reizen af richting het GelreDome. Volgens de overlevering moet dat 4 oktober van dat jaar zijn geweest. De ’70-10 Tour’ van de legendarische band Supertramp! Jorn stond alles, wat er op het podium gebeurde ademloos tot zich te nemen. Het meest gecharmeerd was hij van ‘Crime of the Century’.

Om te zeggen dat de albums Sufjan Stevens divers zijn is een understatement.
Zijn uitstapjes naar New Age en Ambient zijn niet voor iedereen weggelegd, zo ook niet voor mij, maar platen als ‘Carrie & Lowell’, ‘Seven Swans’ en ‘Illinoise’ bewijzen dat hij fantastische liedjes kan schrijven.
A Beginner’s Mind kan ook makkelijk in dat rijtje worden meegenomen.
In samenwerking met Angelo De Augustine heeft hij 14 prachtige nummers opgenomen die vooral in het verlengde van de dromerige plaat ‘Seven Swans’ ligt.
